Sigma Stretch Film is committed to Sustainability. At Sigma Stretch Film we are constantly looking for methods to further that commitment. We have spent countless hours developing films that use less overall plastic yet still offer the same capabilities for our customers. We developed our proprietary Rite-Gauging approach in order to help our customers determine the necessary amount of our films needed to properly wrap products, subsequently reducing the amount that enters the waste stream. We even developed our new “VANISH” stretch film line which as soon as it nears the end of it’s engineered useful life (2 years), “VANISH” begins the process of bio-assimilation. This process breaks down the film to its original base components and becomes a food source for microorganisms, leaving no micro-plastics or toxins behind.
As we have said all along though, we believe the best and most efficient way to handle used stretch film is through recycling. With that we are proud to announce our partnership with iSustain Recycling, leader in the plastics recycling industry. iSustain Recycling will work with any of our Sigma Stretch Film customers or our distributor’s customers to put a recycling program in place for our Stretch Film products and any other plastics, paper or other potential waste materials.
At Sigma Sigma Stretch Film we want our customers that have a recycling need to have a solution that avoids use of local landfills and gives a sustainable solution. We encourage our customers to directly contact our recycling partner, iSustain.
and MUCH MORE!
