Basic Function:  Pack quality rolls of stretch film for shipment to customers.

Reports to Line Operators, Senior Operators, Production Manager and Plant Manager.

JOB COMPLEXITY:  Duties include following work orders that provide manufacturing instructions which include packaging materials and all product specifications. Product weights, widths, and cling properties are inspected and documented in a Production Report. This is a fast-paced position that is repetitive, it requires close attention to quality of product. Must be able to perform basic math, use a calculator, read a tape measure, lift 50 lbs. repetitively. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend.

PACKER DUTIES:

• Assist the Line Operator and Senior Operator with bringing lines up and maintaining the lines.

• Package finished products for delivery to customers.

• Ensure all products that you package meet or exceed company quality specifications.

• Perform all duties in a safety conscious manner and follow all safety procedures, including Lock Out, Tag Out.

• Identify problems and seek assistance to prevent output loss and excessive scrap.

• Ensure all quality checks are performed appropriately.

• Always maintain a clean area.

• Always use the required P.P.E. when on the production floor.

• Make sure that products are packed in a neat and orderly fashion in accordance with the product set up sheet, including the labeling of boxes and ensuring that labels are straight.

• Do line condition sheets, assist with changeovers, assist with screen changes, assist with troubleshooting, and filling out line paperwork properly.

• Make sure that your break times stay within the company guidelines.

• Adhere to the attendance guidelines and realize that attendance is very important to your shift as well as your co-workers.

• Perform various other duties as deemed necessary. Be willing to help wherever needed.
